The restaurant is located at an eight-minute walk from Ebisu station. Walk along the train tracks and you will find yourself at “Kameido Hormone”.
The main branch is in Kameido in Shitamachi (friendly and traditional neighborhood), and is extremely popular. I found out about the new branch in Ebisu, and I just had to go!
My friend and I arrive at the restaurant at 19:00 and it’s already completely full. This is the same as the main branch, where it’s not unusual to wait for an hour just to get a table.
I guess we have no choice but to sit outside until we are let in!
My appetite grows as I sit staring at the charcoal brazier.
We are called to go in, only 20 minutes later! That’s quicker than I expected
There is a counter and several tables that surround it.
It’s a little more spacious than the main restaurant. I like the comfortable atmosphere
Most importantly, the staff are all really friendly! I love how they just seem like a bunch of friends having fun. It makes the atmosphere of the restaurant nice and cozy!
The charcoal brazier is placed in front of us.
With anticipation, we order some meat and other little things to nibble on.
When you come here, you absolutely need to remember to order the Mamemoyashi (bean sprouts), ￥300.
The crunchy and refreshing moyashi go really well with meat.

This is what I’m talking about! The flavor of sesame oil is addicting!
Next came Motsu Nikomi, stewed motsu entrails.
The motsu has none of that particular smell, which might bother some people. It’s been cooked until it’s nice and soft.
Actually, I used to avoid motsu or hormone entrails. It just made me feel uncomfortable.
But then I came to Kameido Hormone and my impression of entrails changed completely. The fresh entails are such good quality here. Since then, entrails have become one of my favorite things to order!
The rest of the meats have arrived too. I am going to start with Gyu-tan (beef tongue).
The gyu-tan here is so soft and juicy. I lost my heart to it the first time I had it!
I grill it a little bit, eat it with some lemon and salt.
I then move on to Seseri (chicken neck meat) and Shio-hormone (salted hormone entrails).
The Marucho entrails are here too.
The juicy Seseri has a strong “meat” taste. It’s delicious!
If you’re going to order hormone entrails, I definitely recommend Shio-hormone. The hormone is nice and fatty. When the fat starts dripping on the grill, it’s time to eat!
The entrails here are truly exceptional. Other yakiniku restaurants aren’t even comparable!
If you don’t know what to get, I suggest you go for the Hormone Moriawase, or assorted hormone entrails. It comes with all the flavors!
My friend and I ate and drank until we were completely satisfied, and the bill came to ￥8,000. It’s great value for the price!
If you are looking for yakiniku entrails, this is the best place in Tokyo!
