You can enjoy Okinawan cuisine while you’re in Tokyo. Yambaru is located in Shibuya Center Gai, only a 4-minute walk from Shibuya Station.
There are a lot of Teishoku (table d’hote) menus.
First floor has counter-seats and the basement floor has relaxing table seats.
The Okinawan folk songs made me feel as though I was in Okinawa.
I went to the counter-seat because the table seats were full.
Okinawan beer. You can also taste Orion beer!
The regular Teishoku menu has rice, small Okinawan Soba, and Sanpin Tea (bitter tea).
All the Teishoku are big!
You can add more for ¥100 so you could add more and share it with another.
I decided to order Pork Egg Teishoku (¥850). I added more noodles and shared it with my friend.
Don’t forget the red pickled ginger! It’s equipped on your table!
If you love spicy stuff…
This is Koregusu (Seasoning made from soaking island pepper into Awamori).
You could use this instead of Shichimi (red pepper).
I always order Pork Egg Teishoku. This is just too good!
The combination of spam and soft egg is the best! When you come here, try Pork Egg Teishoku.
If you choose counter-seats, you have to buy a meal ticket at the ticket-vending machine outside.
If you have troubles choosing the menu, just call the staff! You can also order by looking at the picture!
