DOUTONBORI KAMUKURA

The founder wanted to make an addictive ramen that no one can make an imitation. His saying still exists in the taste of the ramen today.

Doutonbori Kamukura is right in the Shibuya Center Gai.

It’s originally from Kansai.

I still remember a time I got addicted to ramen here and I used to come here every once a week.

First of all, you have to buy a meal ticket at a ticketing vending machine just outside the restaurant.

Don't worry, buying a ticket is not hard - the numbers are written on the picture.

There is a specific ramen that I order every time I come here.

Lots of veggies…it’s just so goooooood!

Only counter-seats are available.

5 minutes later…

There you are, “oishii-ramen”

Fried Chinese cabbage, ribs, roasted pork and veggies…this combination adds a rich flavor to the soup. It feels like I’m drinking a veggie soup.

5

it’s big but once you start, you can’t stop eating.

6

If you want to change the taste…

7

add a little bit of spicy leeks. *But don’t put too much, it’s really spicy and the smell is quite strong.

and the most wonderful thing - you have to drink up the soup to see this.

If you look closely, it says “ookini”, a word that represents appreciation in the Kansai dialect.
The food satisfied both the stomach and the soul.

The restaurant has a lot of side-menus: karaage, boiled dumplings, fried dumplings and more.

Among them, I recommend “oishii zosui (rice porridge)” –it’s made from the “oishii ramen” soup. I never get tired of the taste! It’s good for digestion too!
