Tsurutontan originally came from Osaka and delicious Udon restaurant. There are three shops in Tokyo: Roppongi, Shinjuku Kabukicho, and Marunouchi.
I have been around Roppongi and Marunouchi the most.
Roppongi shop is not as crowded as before but the seats are always full.
If you don’t want to line up, you should make a reservation (minimum of 4 people) in advance or reserve a banquet course.
Dishes of course are mainly Udon There’s a wide variety of noodle menus from staple Kitsune Udon (udon with deep fried tofu) to pasta-like menu. There are various kinds of curry Udons as well as seasonal menus that go well with alcohol!
What’s popular about Tsurutontan is that you get to choose the Udon type: thick or thin.
Extra servings are free until 3 balls (increments of 0.5 balls).
If you order large, the bowl comes in large.
I recommend homemade Abura-age (deep-fried tofu). This comes in BIG size too.and you can eat it as sushi.
Tsurutontan is fun, delicious, and wallet-friendly.
Go to tsurutontan if you want a new experience!
