Speaking of Nishi-Shinjuku…… of course delicious ramen shops!
I am sure all the ramen-lovers out there have visited the area at least once.
There are several Menya Musashi shops in Tokyo but every shop has its own unique taste.
This Shinjuku shop is known for its great hospitality, taste and atmosphere.
I entered the restaurant and bought a meal ticket at the ticket vending machine.
There are a lot of menus. I ordered Kakuni-ramen (¥850). Kakuni is aJapanese braised pork dish. It is cooked by simmering pork belly in dashi, soy sauce, mirin, sugar and sake.
---Because it is cooked over a long time, it becomes tender and tasty.
The shop only has counter-seats.
When you take a seat, they will ask you the amount of noodles (Large is free!) and oil you want.
On the wall, it has Menya Musashi posters and interesting objects.
I am sure foreigners would love the atmosphere!
SEIYA~ SEIYA~
…seems like the noodles are ready!
Kakuni-ramen arrived.
I took a sip of the ramen… this is it!
This is what I was looking for!
You can only taste it here!
The slight scent of Yuzu (a type of citrus) spreads in your mouth.
They serve curly and thick noodles here.
The noodles merge well with the soup. Anyone can finish it without getting tired of the taste!
Kakuni is very soft and tasty! It’s also HUGE.
Kakuni is so popular at Musashi, Musashi fans make additional orders.
You will definitely get addicted once you eat!
This is a must-go restaurant!
