There was a nickname for some towns according to the form of prosperity in Japan such as Shukuba-Machi, Jouka-Machi, Monzen-Machi , and so on.
As the name suggests, Monzen-Nakacho was Monzen-Machi.
Since long time ago, this town has prospered vibrantly.
There are many restaurants in Monzen-Nakacho, but there is a famous Japanese sweets shop called Irie.
The best recommended is Kanten (agar) and peas Mamekan
Anmitsu with apricot cream is also popular here.
Ann-cream Shiratama Anmitsu
For guys, I recommend Goma-shiru-Udon. You can choose from hot or cold but I prefer hot because creamy sesame sauce blends so well with the noodles.
Goma-kishi-men
The old, unchanged atmosphere gives a taste of traditional Japanese culture.
Tea is also served and replaced with new teas. It’s a nice place to spend some teatime after worshipping.
