I told one of my drinking friends that I have never been to a Yakitori (grilled chicken) restaurant. So he decided to take me to a Yakitori restaurant called Himawari (means Sunflower) in Syoutou, Shibuya.
When I stepped into the restaurant, I found that they serve wines made in Japan – very rare to find.
They also have a fine selection of food such as Akadori (brought all the way from Kyushu) and fresh eggs.
The Sashimis are selected from fresh fish caught on the morning of the day it’s served.
The combination of wine and Yakitori is just wonderful.
I took a seat and a good-looking staff brought us a wet towel and a menu.
We didn’t know what to order so the good-looking staff explained the menu in detail.
Appetizer
Looks deliciousss!
Sashimi
This was reallyyyyyyy GOOD!
Salad
It was the first time eating salad in a restaurant!
Very tasty!
Grilled chiken
As for drinks, we ordered Japanese sake.
The food, drinks, and the service were excellent!
There was a wide selection of Japanese wines.
The restaurant staffs (everyone’s good-looking!) have good knowledge and information about the wines.
Finally we had Yakitori!
Everything was delicious and it was a satisfying meal from the beginning to end!
I went to Himawari in the following week again. I might go again this week!
It was just too good!
