I’ve heard that there is a sister store of Kanekohannosuke, Nihonbashi, in Kichijoji and visited!
Nihonbashi Tendon KANEKOYA.
Original store is always crowded and the line is always lasts 2 hours!
So I was ready to wait!
Next to the ramen restaurant, which sends strong smell of pork soup, there is a KANEKOYA.
When I look up the stairs,,,, of cause there is a line.
However, I was lucky that I only waited for 10mins.
Customers seem old. They must knew the original store and came here.
I was ushered to the seats and ordered.
Menu is only three kinds; pine, bamboo, and plum.
Ingredients inside is different depends on the name.
Pine→Anago (conger)
Bamboo→Kisu(sillaginoid)
Plum→Maitake (species of polypore mushroom)
I ordered Pine! And also miso soup ¥120.
Tea is self-service.
You can take hot tea from teapot.
Black soybeans are in the cup and as I pour tea into cup, it smells good.
This is good.
It sharpens my appetite.
There is radish and burdock pickles on the table.
During eating Tempura, you can rest your mouth with pickles.
Good service♪
Tempura bowl arrived.
Good amount of volume!
Looks not much differ from the original store.
Ingredients are conger shrimp, adductor muscle, seaweeds, green pepper, egg,,, and so on!
Let’s look it closer again.
Now, let’s eat!
Ok,,,
This is delicious!
Inside is soft and outside is crispy.
I love the way it is fried.
Because it is fried with sesame oil, smells pleasant.
Rice catches sauce and I like it.
The amount of rice seems bigger than the original store.
Good for man who wants to eat a lot!
And,,,
Egg tempura.
When you break is up with chopsticks,
creamy yolk come out.
Coordinate with creamy yolk.
So happy~♪
Though I could not finish rice, I ate all tempuras!
This cost for this quality!
So reasonable!
I definitely recommend you Pine because I love this conger!
