Yuutaku is a pork restaurant in Shinjuku Subnade.
Yuutaku mainly serves Ton-don (rice covered with pork and vegetables) and Teishoku (set meal).
Yuutaku is an affiliated store with BOTEJUU (it’s a restaurant next door).
It’s a small restaurant and most of the seats are counter-seats. Most of the people come alone!
There were many foreigners so the staffs seem to be used to it.
I ordered pork loin with miso sauce.
Five minutes later… the meal arrived!
It’s good for people in a rush!
There are some spices/seasonings on the table so it’s worth trying. I tried black pepper and Ichimi garlic (cayenne pepper powder garlic).
The black pepper is Sansho-based (Japanese pepper), so it is recommended for Sansho-lovers.
Ichimi garlic is a little spicy with some scent of garlic. Try if you like spicy stuff.
You can try spices that are unique to Japan!
The restaurant is not too expensive but the portion is pretty big and very high quality.
Despite the face that the restaurant is very small, the paintings on the wall makes it a stylish atmosphere.
Because the restaurant mainly serves donburi (bowl of rice with food on top), it seems as though the target customer are men but the stylish atmosphere allows women to freely enjoy the food even if alone.
