Hakata(district of Fukuoka prefecture) food in Karashimentaiko YAMAYA. Cod-roe buffet during lunch!

So, I recommend you this place, Yamaya restaurant.

In this place, other than basic Yamaya’s cod roe, you can enjoy many Hakata dishes.

Today, I will introduce you Hakata Motsunabe Yamaya Ginza store.

3mins walk from Shinbashi station Ginza exit, there is a beautiful glassed building.
Entrance is 2nd floor of this building.

Ceiling is high, and atmosphere is open.
There are 8 seats of counter, 20 seats of Horigotatsu(low table over a hole in the floor), 50seats of table.
Inside is very extensive.

You can keep your bag under tatami seat of counter.

To begin with, cheer with beer!

Appetizer is salted pacific cod entrails in spicy sauce with

squid.
This is really good to go with beer!
Little spicy and delicious♪

I order basic Motsunabe first, and during boil it, I choose other menus.

There are 3 kinds of flavor; soy sauce mixed with stock, rich miso, Kabosu(type of citrus fruit) and Ponzu vinegar.
My favorite is soy sauce mixed with stock!

I ordered say sauce and stock today as always.

Additionally, I ordered special Mentaiko that I can eat only here.

That is this!

Fresh made Mentaiko.

Fresh made Mentaiko is what sent from factory directly. It is just made and kept the freshness.

This is absolutely my favorite.
I can hear the sound of Mentaiko popping in my mouth. This cannot be compared with any other Mentaiko!

This must be really good with white rice!

Also, this is good to eat with drink!

Small Gyoza(dumpling with minced pork and vegetable stuffing), the famous menu of the

restaurant, comes in hot plate!

Outside is crispy, and inside is juicy.

Although this is small size, you would get burn if you eat it in one bite!
Be careful!

Motsunabe seems ready now.
Cabbage became soft.
Let’s eat.

Fat of Motsu(giblets) melt in the say sauce and stock soup.
Cabbage is sweet and soft.

This makes my body warm.

Don’t forget to eat rice or noodle after eating Motsunabe.

Delicious soup with vegetable and giblets and rice or noodle is excellent!
