Walk up Dogenzaka and enter a straight road, there is Shinsen Station.
There are a lot of good unknown spots around Shinsen Station.
Among them, I want to recommend Totogen!
This restaurant offers delicious dishes at a reasonable price.
All the fish purchased on the day is arranged perfectly on the showcase.
Everything looks delicious!
This restaurant has no appetizer or service charge!
Instead of appetizers, there are small size Arani (boiled bone) for ¥200. I recommend you to order small dishes while waiting for the main dishes!
I decided to order popular menu today!
I started with broiled grunt!
Because it’s only lightly grilled, it’s still so chewy!
Next is deep-fried horse mackerel.
It was freshly fried so when I put it in my mouth, it made a crunchy sound!
I love dripping some soy sauce! My own way of eating!
Tamagoyaki (similar to a rolled omelet) topped with Mentaiko (salted cod’s roe spiced with hot red pepper) was so good, I finished it in a second!
FINALLY the long-awaited simmered red snapper!
The seasoning is wonderful! I want to go with some rice.
There are a wide variety of course menus so I’m sure it’s good for small dinner parties and it’s reasonable too! Definitely a good but unknown restaurant!
