It was a sunny Saturday when I was walking around Omotesando station. I felt that the area was lively.
Yes, now it is fall and this means that there will be many festivals.
There was a festival in Aoyama area and I saw a lot of people wearing a green happi coat with a note ‘Aoyama’. They were heading for a Shinto shrine.
This festival was really stylish, might be because of the area.
Moreover, there was a wedding ceremony in Anniversaire.
I was wondering how crowded Maisen would be because of these events.
When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a line of 6 people in front of it. Oh no, it’s too many people. Moreover!! I couldn’t believe, there were almost 20 people waiting inside… Oh my goddess, what should I do…?
The last person in the line was in the second floor, which is Japanese-style room.
How patient everyone is!!
I decide to wait because this is the reason why I came to Omotesando.
There were times when I wanted to get out and go back to my house, but I stayed killing time by netsurfing.
After waiting 45 minutes, I could take my seat at a table!
I was planning to eat a lot at lunchtime so a cup of coffee was the only thing I took in the morning.
My stomach was aching because of the hunger.
I looked at the menu, and I ordered Katsu-don (a pork cutlet served with egg and vegetables on top of a bowl of rice) that was in my mind since when I woke up.
You will find sweet sauce, spicy sauce and Berkshire pig sauce on the table.
Finally came the Katsu-don on my table.
The dishes in Maisen have some kind of specialness. The bowl has a depth that shows its history.
Taking off the lid, a sigh came out of my mouth. How beautiful it is!!
It is elegant and the good smell of the sauce and eggs stimulates my appetite.
It was so beautiful that I forgot my hunger and spent a little time watching it.
Look at this! This is Katsu-don!!
It is really good pork that I think you don’t even need your teeth to eat this.
Now it is easy to buy lunchboxes and sandwiches of Maisen in some department stores.
But it is better to eat a dish that is just prepared at the moment.
Maisen was very crowded because of the events in Omotesando.
The next time, I would like to enjoy my dish leisurely.
I love Maisen!!
