Close to Shinjuku, Kabukicho, there is ShabuShabu Niimura.
This restaurant opens its business more than 50 years.
Other than Shabushabu, you can have Sukiyaki, steak and so on.
I visited Niimura because I heard they provide nice shadbushabu set at lunchtime.
Inside of the restaurant is very quiet and users seem like regular customers and you can tell that this is an old-established restaurant.
Staff is very polite and warm.
For lunch set, they provide shabushabu, hamburg, sirloin steak and etc.
For shabushabu set, you can choose pork or beef and 100g or 150g.
I ordered pork shabushabu 100g for ¥850!
You only pay less than ¥1,000 if you order 100g.
Dinner menu also looks delicious at Niimura; steak, sashimi, a la carte dishes and so on.
The good thing about this restaurant is that staff is very speedy!
Pot, sauce, foods come quickly one after another.
This home made orange vinegar is made from high grade Konbu(seaweed) in Hokkaido Hidaka, and Katsuobushi(dried bonito) bought at Tsukij.
Soup stock was taken with these konbu and katsuobushi and tasted with citrus fruit, kabosu.
No preservative are used and very healthy.
Also, udon noodle comes with shabushabu goes good with the soup added salt and pepper.
Soup with orange vinegar is delicious as well.
Meats are dished up beautifully.
100g is enough for me!
Pickles come with rice and those much perfectly.
Full of vegetable is hiding behind the meat.
Put vegetables and tohu first because it takes time to boil.
While you are waiting for water to be ready, you can start shabushabu meat.
Differently from beef, you should boil pork until color change completely.
Then, you put meat into orange vinegar and eat them!
Wow
Taste is refreshing and elegant.
Meat is soft and delicious.
Skim off the scum that rises to the surface after you boil meat.
You can enjoy tasty meat until the end if you do this.
Tohu is easy to break so use this ladle.
If you get bored with orange vinegar, you can add sesame sauce with 100yen.
This sesame sauce is also home made and very delicious.
Mix of sesame sauce and orange vinegar make mild taste.
At last, finish with udon noodle.
Udon get little soft and it is ready to eat.
Essence of vegetable and meat make the soup tasty.
You can eat it with original soup or you can add sesame sauce or orange vinegar.
You can enjoy both depends on your mood and that is why you never get bored.
There are Niimura franchise restaurants in Shinjuku.
Pork cutlet Niimura is also popular.
Such a reasonable restaurant!
You can have luxury shabushabu lunch with home made sauce!
