Fukujuan is a Soba restaurant located just 3 minutes from Nishi-ojima Station.
A cute raccoon welcomes you from the showcase.
Besides Soba, there are set meals, Ramen, curry and so on.
There are Zashiki seats and some table seats.
During lunchtime, there are a lot of local people, businessmen, and office ladies.
If you shift your schedule and come at a later time, I’m sure you can relax and enjoy your meal.
Oyakodon (a bowl of rice with chicken, egg and vegetables), Tororo Soba (Soba with grated yam), Kitsune Udon (Udon with deep-fried Tofu)…hmmmmm at the end, I ordered Tempura Soba.
10 minutes later…
Mouth-watering Soba arrived!!!
The Tempura were shrimp, small green pepper, eggplant, and sweet potato!
The smell of the sesame oil spread in my mouth.
The Tempura are so fresh and sweet so I would recommend you to eat it with salt first!
Soba was so shiny and it was so smooth!
I saw people around me ordering a set that comes with Soba and a mini Donburi (mini-tendon, mini-tamagodon, mini-gyudon).
Depending on the day, there’s a special service when they serve boiled egg.
Of course I recommend Soba but if you like conger eel, try the huge conger eel Tempura.
If you feel like eating Soba in a quiet residential district, Fukujuan is the place! You’ll definitely feel relaxed with the downtown atmosphere.
