There is a very popular Taiwanese restaurant at a two-minute walk from Meiji-Jingumae station. Want a healthy dessert? Chun Shui Tang is the place!
The restaurant is always quite crowded. This day, I waited for fifteen minutes before entering the restaurant.
First, you order at the counter. I decided on the soupless-tomato-tantanmen (noodles with sesame paste and chili oil sauce), with a drink. I added to this a mini tapioca douhua, or tofu pudding, for ¥300 more.
As the drink, I got the Tieguanyin milk tea. Tieguanyin milk tea is a combination of oolong and milk tea. It is a milk tea that is less heavy compared to the regular kind.
The serene atmosphere of the restaurant seems to attract a lot of female customers.
A perfect place to relax!
Fifteen minutes later, my dish is served
The bright colors are beautiful!
I imagined the dish to be cold, but was surprised to find out that the noodles were actually warm.
The yellow curly noodles match perfectly with the spicy sauce. Delicious!
The refreshing taste of the tomato increases my appetite.
The milk tea is quite light and goes really well together with the meal, too!
The frozen milk tea is ideal for a hot summer day.
Now on to my dessert, the mini tapioca douhua has a strong soy taste. The unsweetened almond jelly is covered in a sweet sauce. It’s very tasty!
Not only is this dessert delicious, but also, it is healthy. It uses soymilk and not too much sweetening.
Sweets aren’t your thing? I think you might still like this gentle tasting dessert!
It’s nice how the drinks can be ordered for takeout as well!
I highly recommend you try the Tieguanyin milk tea! It’s super delicious!
