This is the first time I visited Akasaka Hamazushi in Hiroo.
This restaurant opened more than 30 years ago. It’s an old-fashioned sushi restaurant.
The appetizer was the Tsubugai (shellfish). So chewy and fresh!
You have to take it all out by spinning your toothpick because the most delicious part is the tip!
Ara-jiru (soup made from the bony parts of fish) is very delicious and deep in taste.
Gari (sliced ginger prepared in vinegar) that comes with sushi is fresh and crispy!
If you can’t decide what you want to eat, just tell the chef.
The chef will choose it for you and serve sashimi and or sushi little by little.
Most surprising thing was that Ootoro (fatty tuna) costs the same as Chutoro (medium fatty tuna). So we decided to order Ootoro. It looked like real beef!
The best recommended was ark shell.
It was very fresh and chewy!
The ark shell came with Kaihimo.
Gochisousama-deshita.
