Ajihachi is a Hokkaido Ramen shop located in a Ramen district in Shinjuku Nishiguchi.
There are different kinds of Hokkaido Ramen:
-Sapporo Miso Ramen
-Hakodate Shio-Ramen (salt)
-Asahikawa Shoyu Ramen (soy sauce)
All of them are delicious!
At first glance, you wouldn’t think it’s a ramen shop.
The interior and the atmosphere is popular.
There are table seats and counter-seats. Many ladies actually come here by herself.
The best recommended is Miso Ramen. I love Miso Ramen and I always had Miso Ramen so I decided to try Asahikawa Shoyu Ramen.
I bought Asahikawa Shoyu Ramen ticket (¥680) and sat down.
I could see the workers in the kitchen speedily making Ramen.
I waited for 5 minutes and a lively staff brought the Ramen.
It’s not one of those crystal clear soups.
It’s very rich and thick!
I took a sip of the soup.
Yummmm!
I think it’s probably pig bone based!
It had a little bit of sweetness and a lot of collagen.
It was creamy Shoyu Ramen!
Noodle was yellow curly noodle.
It was a little firm but it blended well with the creamy soup.
The thinly sliced grilled pork.
Although it’s thin, it has a firm taste and when you eat it with the rich soup, it’s amazing!
If you want to change the taste, order a bottle that has gochujang (Korean red chili paste) and grated garlic.
I recommend gochujang.
The spicy taste of gochujang and the rich soup merges well and produces a new taste.
I love Miso Ramen but Shoyu Ramen was also good too!
I recommend this place to everyone who loves creamy and rich Ramen.
Gochisousama-deshita.
