Many sports facilities, including the famous Jingu Stadium

The most famous facility of Meiji Jingu Gaien is probably Jingu Stadium. Along with Koshien in Osaka, it is the “mecca” of student baseball. The stadium is also the home ground of professional baseball team Yakult Swallows. But if you are a baseball fan, all this is old news.
Practice “virtually” against popular baseball players, at the Batting Practice Range. From beginners to advanced players, the batting center is a lots of fun for everybody.

Other popular sports facilities include the city’s largest golf driving range, a tennis court, a futsal court and an ice-skating rink open all year round.

Historical murals can be admired at Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery.
The gallery even offers culture classes. Tea ceremony, flower arrangement, calligraphy, Japanese-style paintings and Classical Japanese dance classes are available. There is also a ceramic art class, unfortunately not open for drop-in tryouts.

Park for children

With unsullied greenery, Gaien Park is perfect for a stroll, as well as an ideal playground for children of all ages. Equipped with a big slide, a jungle tower and other fun rides, the park is an adventure land!

Meiji Jingu Gaien is also the venue of different seasonal events. From mid-May to mid-September, you can enjoy beer and barbecue under the stars. Also popular are the Jingu Gaien Fireworks in August, and ginkgo tree festival in November and December. Make sure to check what special event is held during your stay in Tokyo!
