Discover the latest fashion trends and enjoy live stand up comedy at Shinjuku Lumine, right at Shinjuku station!
If you are in the Shinjuku area, Lumine is a must-visit! This shopping facility has many trendy and fashionable boutiques.
At a one-minute walk from Shinjuku station south exit on the JR and Odakyu Lines, and connected to the exit from Keio Line, it is the perfect destination on a rainy day.
Of the three Lumine in Shinjuku, Lumine 1, Lumine 2 and Lumine Est, today I am going to guide you through my favorite one of them all, Lumine 2.
Lumine 1 and 2 tend to have shops that are more sophisticated and appeal to a more mature customer base, rather than Lumine Est that targets late teens and women in their early 20s.
This brand here, LOURP HYIL, is sometimes worn by actresses in popular TV series. Their simple and feminine silhouette as well as their high quality fabric gives a sophisticated and elegant impression.
As for cosmetics, the New York brand Jill Stuart is extremely popular!
Jill Stuart’s products can make you feel both sweet and sexy.
Can you guess what this is?
No, it’s not manicure, it’s actually their blush collection! It’s so cute! I would love to carry one in my purse!
Here is their cologne in a fancy bottle.
Another one of my favorite cosmetics shops is Isetan Mirror.
Isetan Mirror offers a wide selection of cosmetics from various brands.
If you are having trouble deciding, just ask one of the “Isetan Mirror Girls” in the shop and they will be happy to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Here is a hand-made accessory and jewelry shop called MocA-Tokyo. Their accessories are all so beautiful and high quality, and not one of them is identical to another! Make sure to pick your favorite.
They are so cute and fancy. How fashionable!
Lumine is not only for young women. There are also men’s and children’s boutiques. It’s a great place to go shopping with your boyfriend or family!
Archimedes Spiral is a shop that specializes in men’s watches. They carry a wide variety of items imported from all over the world, from simple and casual watches to some that are quite unusual and interesting. There is something for everyone!
So many wonderful shops! But it can get tiring walking around after a while…
But don’t worry! You can take a break at one of the cafés!
I like to go to a little café called Hand Bakes on the third floor. You can enjoy pies and tarts in this adorable looking coffee shop with an antique décor.
How can you ignore and walk by these cute tarts at the front display?
La Maison Ensolleile Table on the fifth floor is another cozy café. The cakes look amazing!
The adorable interior was inspired by a cottage in a southern island. They also do take-out, so I recommend checking it out if you are a dessert person like me!
And here is everyone’s favorite, MUJI!
At this famous variety store, you can get all sorts of items useful in daily life for reasonable prices.
There is a good selection from clothes, bed sheets to even food products.
Some of the most popular food products are the boil-in-the-bag food. They are super easy to prepare and even taste quite sophisticated.
Take home a couple of bags of soup, curry or stew as souvenirs for your friends!
My recommendation is the chocolate covered banana baumkuchen.
It’s not overly sweet and delicious!
And when at Shinjuku Lumine 2, you cannot miss the stand up comedy stage, Lumine the Yoshimoto on the seventh floor.
If you enjoy Japanese stand up comedy, this is the place to go! You can watch live performances and purchase special goods of the comedians.
What I showed you today is just the tip of the iceberg.
Lumine has so much to offer! Make a visit and see for yourself ^^
