Cute and Tasty Waffles on a Patio

I exit Shibuya station at West Exit and walk along the railway… and look what I found, a chic café with a patio!

It’s called “Mud Coffee Café”.

While many cafes in Tokyo today are entirely non-smoking, this place welcomes both smokers and non-smokers. Go out on the patio if you enjoy a cigarette with your coffee, or sit inside and you won’t be bothered by the smoke. The café succeeds in providing a comfortable atmosphere for all customers.

The interior feels very cozy, using mostly warm colors.

They’ve decorated the place nicely with cups on the shelves, and even a real saxophone by the wall.

You order at the counter, and the staff will bring you your food and drink to your table.

The food menus are mostly casual snacks, like pretzels, hot-dogs, cheesecakes and waffles.
Drinks include a selection of coffee, and juices as well as alcoholic beverages.

I decided to order a waffle and a glass of beer after a long day of work!

I went to sit on the patio.

An ice-cold beer after a day in my little cubicle. Ahhh, I work for these moments.

I like the coaster design.

The relaxing music from the stereo behind me takes me to another place.
I should’ve brought a book to read.

Sitting out in the cool breeze, it’s the ideal way to spend a summer evening.

And my waffle is ready! It’s brought to me by a friendly waitress with a lovely smile.

How adorable! There’s a smiley face on the plate.

The waffle is crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. Other than the Berry Waffle I chose today, they also have Chocolate and Caramel Waffles.

The sour and sweet berries go perfectly together with the delicious rich waffle.

You know the ice cream is good when there are vanilla beans in it.

The waffle was fairly small, so I had no trouble finishing it.

The Waffle Set is very reasonable. One waffle and one drink from the menu (including alcohol) for less than \1,000!

I took a picture of the Hot-Dog sample displayed at the entrance.

I saw somebody eating this, and the sausage was literally this size! I have to try it at my next visit.
