Donburi refers to a bowl of cooked rice with some other food served on top of it.
Maruha-no-karubi-don is specialized in karubi (generally refers to a variety of grilled dishes in Korean cuisine that are made with marinated beef (or pork) short ribs in a Korean soy sauce) don.
They use Saibi beef from Hokkaido and Mochibuta pork from Rusutsu.
This one in Okachimachi is the first one in Tokyo. They offer you ‘Gyu (beef) karubi don’, ‘Mochibuta don’ and ‘Aimori (Both of them) don’, they have a lot of amount with a reasonable cost.
You can see that it has a cheerful atmosphere even in the outside.
The special menu on the board outside looks really tasty.
The thicket machine is on the left side. I decided to order Mochibuta karubi don.
The inside is not so spacious. I was pleased to be passed to a table seat even though I came alone.
There were more male customers than female customers, definitely, but the atmosphere was kind to female who came alone.
Came the mochibuta karubi don!!!
Wow!! It looks really delicious!!
I was surprised that it was accompanied with miso soup and Korean pickles.
White sesame seeds and pieces of leek on top of the pork.
It was something new to see that below the pork, it was filled with some pieces of cabbage.
This way allows us to eat vegetables at the same time, a good consideration for women.
First, I ate mochibuta. Oooh, it is tasty!! Delicious!!!
Then combine this with Korean pickles and rice….
I was amazed how nice it tasted. I can agree that it won the Donburi Grand Prix.
The sauce, which is neither so sweet nor light, is secret to others.
Just once is enough to become addicted to it.
I was amazed at its taste and just kept eating, but then I looked around the restaurant. I saw many colored papers with autographs of celebrities.
There’s no way to walk past the restaurant without stopping by.
I will definitely come to this restaurant again!!
