In gourmet city Nishikasai, there are tons of delicious curry and yakitori restaurants. But why don’t you try a restaurant with a retro look: Manpuku Shokudo.
I always see people staring at the menu at the entrance.
There are a few seats near the entrance, some counter seats, and others are table seats.
There are many businessmen as well as couples.
The menu comes with photos so it’s very easy to see.
Everything is offered at a fairly reasonable price!
Besides the set menus, there are a lot of side dishes as well
Price varies – offered from ¥150.
It’s a self-served system (you go get the food yourself!) and when you are finished eating, the waiter will come and calculate it.
Anyway, I ordered kaisen-don (seafood bowl)!
Tuna, octopus, salmon, engawa, and albacore tuna! and this only costs ¥550!
The sashimi toppings of seafood bowl changes by the stock of the day.
It doesn't come with vinegared rice, but with regular white rice and seaweed on the top!
Despite the price, it comes with a lot of sushi toppings.
I saw people around me ordering Nikujaga and Saba-no-misoni set.
Other than the set meals, you can have free refills (self-served).
By the way, all the fried menus are prepared right when you order it, so it’s nice and crispy when it’s served.
Lovely ambience, simple food, tastes good, and most importantly, wallet-friendly!
The best recommended is shougayaki-teishoku (ginger-fried pork set). Gotta try this on my next visit!
Manpuku, manpuku (I’m stuffed)!
