“Hawaiian Pancake Factory” is located on the second floor of Shinjuku Mylord. It’s still pretty unknown, so you won’t need to line up to get in!
As Shinjuku is a pancake-café-concentrated area, many of the cafés have long waiting lines even on weekdays. But “Hawaiian Pancake Factory” is the perfect hidden café!
Welcome to Hawaii! Aloha~!
As you enter the café, you will find tables on the right, and tables and a counter space on the left. I like the spacious and comfortable room!
A rock salt lamp is placed on each table. It creates such a relaxing atmosphere together with the Hawaiian music that fills the room.
There’s so many to choose from… I can’t make up my mind!
I decided to go with the blueberry pancake.
The three syrups are maple, mango and coconut.
Having the pancake in front of me, I can’t deny its allure!
Three small pancakes covered in a mountain of whipped cream and a blueberry sauce with big chunks of berries.
I take a bite of the pancake. Hmm… To be completely honest, there is nothing special about it. The texture is not particularly soft or fluffy.
But wait a minute! Try it together with the whipped cream and sauce, it’s sooo delicious!!!
Although it seemed quite substantial, I had no trouble finishing it.
In some cafés, the pancakes are so big, I often see customers not being able to finish their plates. An appropriate quantity is very important, also so the customer won’t feel bad for having to leave it over.
Also, I appreciate that there are washrooms inside the café, even though it is inside a department store.
