HANAKO

Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki(octopus dumplings) are the first things to come up when you think of Kansai region. Today, I went to Tokyo, Iidabashi to visit the new open restaurant, which is so popular in Hiroshima prefecture.

Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki (A thin, flat “cake” of unsweetened batter fried with various ingredients)

Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki(octopus dumplings) are the first things to come up when you think of Kansai region.

Today, I went to Tokyo, Iidabashi to visit the new open restaurant, which is so popular in Hiroshima prefecture.

This restaurant, “HANAKO” is located in just middle of Iidabashi station and Kudanshita station.

This restaurant takes special care what ingredients they use and makes a really good Okonomiyaki.

There is a big lantern and cask Sake in front of the restaurant!

Entrance is already interesting ♪

Staff welcomed us cheerfully.

Cheerful staffs bring nice atmosphere to the restaurant

Inside is so modern that I can’t believe it’s an Okonomiyaki restaurant!
If there were no iron plate, I would believe if someone said it is café!

As I look around the inside, I can see CARP’s (base ball team of Hiroshima) goods.

Of course, CARP’s baseball game is on the TV.

I’m sure it will be full of CARP funs on the game day.

We ushered to counter seats.

HANAKO serves not only Okonomiyaki but also meat and fish dishes.
Also, you can enjoy Hiroshima’s Sake♪

We ordered appetizer first.

Beef sinew stew arrived first.

This salty-sweet sauce and soft beef sinw goes so good with Sake!

This beef sinew is the most popular dish in the menu!

I found my favorite! Oyster!

Oyster is said “Milk of the sea”,
And Hiroshima is famous for oyster!

When I find Oyster and vegetable fried dish, I ordered immediately.

This tender and big oyster!!
As I bite, flavor spread into my mouth.

This is so delicious!
Oyster is fresh and tender.
Combination with vegetables is plain and good.

Yet I haven’t eat main dish, Okonomiyaki, I was satisfied already♪

Chicken sauté is so soft!

Since seasoning is little sweet, kids also should like it!

Though I wanted to eat more appetizer,
I decided to move to main dish, Okonomiyaki.

There are so many kinds but recommended menu is “Kokutaiji yaki”.

Kokutaiji yaki is,
Cabbage and crunchy bites of deep-fried dough is on the dough and noodle and pork slice are on the top.
The point is, to put egg middle but not on the top, and bake pork crunchy.

This Okonomiyaki taste not too strong and never get bored.

Staff makes it in front of you after you order.

When you smell a savory smell, nice colored Okonomiyaki is ready to be served♪

Delicious as I expected

Compared to other Okonomiyaki, Kokutaiji yak is more elegant taste and Crunchy baked savory pork is so good.

Other kinds of Okonomiyaki must be good as well ♪

However, because Gyoza(dumpling of meat and vegetable) other table was ordering looked so delicious,
We decided to ordered Gyoza.

Small Gyoza but ingredients were stuffed well and the skin is crunchy!

The interior is so modern that you can use here for date♪

Because staff makes Okonomiyaki in front of you,
You can always eat hot from the plate.

They assort many kinds of Sake so I can recommend it for sale lover too!

I was satisfied today as always ♪
