The Best Oyako-Don I have ever had!

I am very much excited to introduce you Matsugen, a Japanese meal restaurant in Azabu.
It locates in a quiet street about 5 minutes from the station.

I visit this restaurant in summer, so there was a mosquito coil piggy at the gate!
You can feel Japanese atmosphere even before you go in!

Very Cozy Atmosphere

There is a big menu signboard outside of the restaurant!
Matsugen has a lot of menus to choose from, but my target is clear today, the Oyako-don!♡

Inside of the restaurant is pretty cozy.
They put the lightning a little dark inside.
There is a big counter table surrounded in a square shape. There is a small table room in back room too.

Look at this!
There is charcoal fire places in side of the counter table!
I assume that it must be used in a night Izakaya time.

Oh, My, Goodness!!
How can they make that beautiful Oyako-Don?!?
Oyako-Don is a bowl of rice topped with seasoned soft scramble egg and soft chicken.
It is one of the most popular Japanese home cooking meal.
The name, Oyako, means "parents and kids" because chicken is a parent of eggs, and eggs are kids of chicken!haha

I broke a raw egg! It is shining as a sunshine!hehe♡
People from other countries might not used to eat raw egg. If you do not like it, please tell the staff to remove it.

Let's take a bite! I cannot wait!
The chicken is soooo soft and catching soft scramble eggs!
The white rice is soaked with the soy seasoned soup nicely.

Oyako-Don comes with a bowl of salad, soup and pickles.
I could not believe that it is just ¥1,000 for this excellent set menu!

There Are Other Great Menus Too!

My friend ordered tempura soba noodle!
It looked amazing too!
Soba noodle set has small bowl of rice topped with raw tuna sashimi, tempura, and soba noodle made with flour from Hokkaido.

I was so into my Oyako-Don and did not looking at other food!hehe
But definitely, other menus tastes good!

There were various people, business man, elderly couples, mother and kids, and even tourist from overseas!
Azabu is the next station of Roppongi. Why don't you take a travel to Azabu to have wonderful Oyako-Don!?
