Epson Aqua Park Shinagawa has just been renovated in the summer of 2015.
Located right near Shinagawa station, inside of Shinagawa Prince Hotel, it is a facility popular among families and couples.
The facility is illuminated in rainbow colors during night-time, so you will surely be able to recognize it immediately.
On the ground floor, you can find combinations of fish tanks, sound, light, and image, bringing you a novel and innovative form of aquarium experience. On the upper floor are a number of other exhibits, including dolphin shows. There are different shows being put on during the day and at night, which is one of the many creative ways in which this facility ensures that its visitors are always entertained.
The dolphin shows are one of the most poplar features of this facility.
At a stadium with 360-degree view, “Dolphin Performance” shows are put on daily during the day and also at night. The day performance is fun and exuberant, while the night performance is slower and relaxed with an enchanting atmosphere. The content of these performances also change once in a while, so keep an eye out!
Jellyfishes are gradually gaining popularity in Japan. In the area called “Jellyfish Ramble”, the light and sound change depending on time and season, creating a different atmosphere each time.
Jellyfishes, being beautifully lit up, are mysterious and somehow romantic at the same time.
For families, we definitely recommend “Friendly Square”, located outdoors.
Mini-performances by sea lions, fur seals, and penguins are adorable and will surely keep the kids entertained!
